The crux of the matter is that the clash between Wieczysta and Polonia was scheduled for March 16 at ArcelorMittal Park in Sosnowiec. However, just three days later, Raków were set to face Fiorentina on the very same pitch in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League Round of 16.
Fearing that the pitch could be left unplayable for Raków and Fiorentina after the Wieczysta-Polonia match, the Polish Football Association made the tough call to sacrifice the First League fixture and move it to a later date.
The new date and time for Wieczysta vs Polonia will be announced later on the official channels of the clubs.
