The players have spoken! Official Premier League Team of the Year revealed
The best of the best in English football have been officially named by the players themselves.
Details: At the 53rd PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester, the official Premier League Team of the Year for the 2025/26 season was unveiled. David Raya takes the goalkeeper spot, the defense features Jurriën Timber, Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba and Nico O'Reilly, the midfield line consists of Bruno Fernandes, Declan Rice and Rayan Cherki, while the attack is formed by Antoine Semenyo, Igor Thiago and Erling Haaland.
Arsenal dominate the selection with five representatives after their brilliant campaign, Manchester City have four players in the XI, while Manchester United and Brentford have one each. The main individual honor of the evening went to Bruno Fernandes, crowned PFA Players' Player of the Year after a record-breaking season with 21 Premier League assists that helped United finish third. Erling Haaland, who won the Golden Boot with 27 goals, and Nico O'Reilly, named the league's young player of the season, were also among the stars of the night.
The only truly unexpected name on the list is Brentford striker Igor Thiago, whose phenomenal season earned him a place alongside the giants. It's worth noting that Haaland has now claimed his third Golden Boot in the last four Premier League seasons.
Reminder: It's all because of the haircut! Fans demand Haaland to grow his hair back immediately.
