‘The number of games is absurd’. Manchester City midfielder criticised the club's calendar

The number of matches the players are currently playing is causing discontent among coaches and players alike.

Details: Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has criticised the club's calendar, calling it ‘crazy’ and adding that it leaves him little time for his family.

Quote: ‘The schedule is absolutely crazy. We have just learnt that we only have one day off for an English League Cup match. We will probably play every three days for months to come. It was absolutely absurd. In the Champions League, if you don't reach the round of 16, you still have to play two more matches. It wasn't easy. I spend very little time with my family and friends. The number of games we are involved in is absurd,’ said Silva for Record.

Recall: The football union FIFPRO intends to sue FIFA because of the overloaded international calendar. The relevant lawsuits have already been filed with the European Commission and the commercial court of Brussels.
