The most important news has finally arrived for Yael Trepy and everyone at Cagliari.

Details: According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 20-year-old Cagliari forward Yael Trepy has regained consciousness after being placed in a medically induced coma following a serious incident in a swimming pool in Baja Sardinia. The latest medical bulletin states that sedation was gradually reduced before the player was successfully taken off mechanical ventilation and extubated.

Doctors reported that Trepy fully recovered consciousness after waking up. He is alert and cooperative, while no obvious neurological deficits have been detected. His respiratory and haemodynamic parameters are also stable.

The French striker will nevertheless remain in intensive care for close clinical and respiratory monitoring. This precaution is required because of his recent extubation and the pulmonary problems caused by inhaling water during the accident.

It is worth noting that Trepy made eight Serie A appearances for Cagliari in the 2025/26 season and scored one goal. He also registered 11 goals and four assists in 24 Primavera 1 appearances. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2 million.
