The Nigerian and Egyptian national teams are interested in the coach who has won the AFCON twice
The renowned French specialist Hervé Renard may soon return to the African continent.
According to Foot Mercato, Renard, who has decided to leave the French women's national team after the 2024 Olympics, has received offers from two national teams: Nigeria and Egypt.
Nigeria, after reaching the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, lost their head coach José Peseiro, and following poor results in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, Finidi George was also dismissed.
Egypt dismissed Rui Vitória after their exit in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations and has yet to appoint a permanent replacement.
Hervé Renard has won the Africa Cup of Nations as head coach of both Zambia and Ivory Coast.
Previously, Renard has also coached the national teams of Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Angola, and at the club level, he has managed Lille and Sochaux.
