Two NFL stars have become the highest-paid at their positions. How much will they earn?
Two leaders of the NFL team Detroit Lions have signed new contracts with their club, as reported by ESPN.
The players in question are Amon-Ra St. Brown and Penei Sewell. Ahead of the draft, the club decided to secure new deals with its leaders. Sewell signed a four-year contract worth $85 million guaranteed, with the total contract value amounting to $112 million.
St. Brown also inked a four-year deal. The wide receiver has the potential to earn more money overall, but has a lower guaranteed amount. Amon-Ra received $77 million in guaranteed salary, with a maximum of $120 million under the new contract.
Following the signing of the new contracts, both players immediately became the highest-paid in the league at their positions.
It's worth noting that a few days ago, the Kansas City Chiefs made their coach, Andy Reid, the highest-paid in the NFL. He signed a contract until 2029 with an annual salary of $18 million.
