AC Milan legend and global football icon Alessandro Nesta is set to embark on a new managerial role.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Nesta will become the new head coach of Monza. An oral agreement has been reached between the former defender and the club, with only the signing of documents remaining to finalize the deal.
Nesta will replace Raffaele Palladino, who has taken over Fiorentina, succeeding Vincenzo Italiano.
This will mark Nesta’s first experience as a head coach in Serie A. Last season, he managed Reggiana in Serie B, and prior to that, he coached Perugia and Frosinone.
Monza finished last season in 12th place in Serie A.
