Italian club Fiorentina has officially announced the appointment of a new head coach, Raffaele Palladino.
The 40-year-old specialist has signed a contract with "La Viola" until 2026, with an option to extend for another season.
Palladino replaces Vincenzo Italiano, who left the club at the end of the season.
Palladino previously managed Monza from September 2022. Under his leadership, the team maintained its position in Serie A. The 2022/23 season was Monza's debut in Italy's top division.
It was previously reported that Roma was interested in hiring Fiorentina's newly appointed coach.
Fiorentina finished eighth in the Serie A standings and reached the final of the Conference League, where they lost to Olympiacos.
