The Mayor of London expresses interest in hosting the Super Bowl in his city

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has expressed his desire for his city to host more major sporting events. This Saturday, June 1st, London will host the final of the football Champions League between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
As reported by The Athletic, Sadiq Khan has expressed his wish to host all significant world sporting events, including American ones.
"I want Joshua and Dubois to have their fight in London. I want an international WrestleMania in London. The Super Bowl is very important to us. We already have many American football matches, and I want to host the Super Bowl so that American football fans from Europe can come to us instead of flying to America," said the London Mayor.
However, the Super Bowl will not be held in London in the near future. The NFL has already planned the locations for the final for the next three years - New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles.
By the way, we recently reported that the NFL aims to expand the popularity of American football worldwide, so they continue to look for European cities to host matches. Currently, the association is considering Paris and Dublin as potential next locations.
