The match of Frenchwoman Alizé Cornet at the WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham has been postponed. What happened?

The grass-court season has arrived in the tennis world. Most of these tournaments take place in England, so the weather often forces changes to the match schedule.
Rain made its mark today in Nottingham as well, where most of the first-round qualifying matches were played on June 14. In the evening, rain interrupted play, leaving two matches unfinished, and Alizé Cornet and China's Yue Yuan didn’t even get a chance to step onto the court.
Interestingly, the main draw is set to begin as early as Monday, so on Sunday, June 15, Cornet will have to play another qualifying match if she defeats Yuan.
Let us remind you, Cornet only recently returned to the court after a long absence. After Roland Garros 2024, the Frenchwoman announced her retirement, but soon changed her mind and made her comeback at the start of April 2025.
