Danger! Roland Garros champion Coco Gauff's X account hacked by cybercriminals

Tennis star Coco Gauff found herself in a troubling situation as her account on the social platform X was hacked by cybercriminals. The athlete broke the news to her followers via Instagram.
Gauff posted an Instagram story, alerting her fans to the issue.

“My X account is hacked... Do not buy or pay attention to anything posted until you hear from me on here (instagram) spread the word please! lol I don't want people wasting their money,” she wrote on social media.
Fortunately, the tennis ace soon managed to regain control over her X profile, updating her followers: “Hi guys.. My account was hacked but I am back. Sorry for the inconvenience 🫶🏾.”
As a reminder, Coco Gauff recently claimed her maiden Roland Garros title this past weekend. It marked her first triumph at the tournament and her second overall Grand Slam victory—she previously won the US Open in 2023.
Gauff is currently ranked world No. 2 in the WTA rankings, trailing only Aryna Sabalenka, whom she defeated in the Roland Garros final.
