The Manchester City forward responded to rumors about a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona

Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez has commented on the rumors surrounding a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona. The Argentine versatile forward expressed contentment within his current club, stating he has no intention of making any changes in the near future.

“The truth is I'm very happy at Manchester City. I've been at the club for a little more than a year. I feel very happy with everything we've achieved. Now our goal is to compete and try to win them all over again!” quotes Alvarez journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Alvarez was acquired by Manchester City in July 2022 from River Plate, with the transfer summing up to around 22 million euros. He continued to play for River Plate on loan for a while before permanently moving to Manchester. Since then, the 23-year-old Argentine has participated in 75 matches for the Cityzens, scoring 27 goals and providing 14 assists. His contract with the club extends until June 2028.

In December of the previous year, Alvarez became a world champion with the Argentine national team.

It was previously reported that Manchester City was considering the acquisition of an Argentine prodigy often dubbed as the new Messi.
