On Thursday, 22 January, the list of the richest clubs in the 2024/25 season was published, revealing who tops the ranking and which league has the largest representation.
Details: According to The Athletic, the richest club last season was Real Madrid, which generated £975 million. Barcelona are second with £819 million, while Bayern Munich complete the top three with £723 million. Notably, no Premier League club appears in either the top three or the top four of the ranking.
However, English clubs dominate the list in terms of representation. The ranking includes 20 clubs, nine of which come from the Premier League. Liverpool recorded the highest revenue among them with £702 million, followed by Manchester City with £697 million and Manchester United with £666 million.
Reminder: Álvaro Arbeloa became the first academy graduate to represent Real Madrid in the Champions League both as a player and as a coach.
