The legend could stay! Brighton offers 39-year-old Milner a new contract

English Premier League legend James Milner may continue to compete at the highest level next season.

Details: According to The Athletic, Brighton is offering the 39-year-old central midfielder a new one-year contract.

This move means Milner has a real chance to break Gareth Barry's Premier League appearance record. Milner has played in 637 matches so far, with the record standing at 653 appearances.

In the current season, injuries have limited Milner to just 3 Premier League games.

Reminder: Brighton's Gambian forward Yankuba Minteh leads the Premier League in an impressive statistic.
