Maccabi Tel Aviv's Wade Baldwin will not play in the second match of the playoff series against Panathinaikos.

An official statement from the Israeli club said that the basketball player was diagnosed with a small tear in his hamstring ligament, and despite his words of readiness to play, the American will not take part in the match. There is no word yet on Baldwin's availability for the Belgrade leg of the series (Maccabi plays its home Euroleague games in Serbia).

It is also reported that Juancho Hernangomez's participation in the match is in doubt, as he has calf muscle problems and sinusitis symptoms.

As a reminder, on 30 June 2022, Baldwin signed a two-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League and Euroleague. In the 2022-23 Euroleague regular season, he was the second highest scorer with 16.7 points per game, second only to Alexander Vezenkov.

Baldwin was named Euroleague MVP in March 2023. The following month, in April, Baldwin agreed to a contract extension that will keep him playing for Maccabi until 2025.
