The leader of French club Lille is close to a move to Napoli

Napoli is in negotiations with the French club Lille regarding a potential transfer of forward Jonathan David. According to Calciomercato.com, the Italians have already agreed on contract terms with the player. David has been offered a five-year contract with an annual salary of 3 million euros.

However, Napoli has not yet reached an agreement with Lille regarding the transfer fee. The French club is seeking around 45 million euros for the player, while the Italians are willing to offer only 35 million. The current Italian champions are aiming to outpace competitors from the English Premier League and AC Milan, who are also interested in the footballer.

Jonathan David has been playing for Lille since the summer of 2020, when he transferred from the Belgian club Gent for 27 million euros. In the current season, he has scored 23 goals and provided 5 assists in 41 matches for the club.
