After Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a co-owner of Manchester United, he is striving to implement an increasing number of changes within the club. While he does not plan to dismiss Erik ten Hag from his position as head coach, he intends to diminish his role within the team.

Sir Jim envisions a long-term shift in the managerial role at United and aims to minimize the coach's responsibilities on the training ground and during matches. This pertains not only to Ten Hag but also to all subsequent managers of the Red Devils, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Ten Hag himself had significant influence on personnel selection during his tenure at Manchester United. However, the new co-owner wants the sporting director, Dan Ashworth, and the chief executive officer, Omar Berrada, to assume responsibility for this sphere.

It remains unknown whether Ten Hag will remain in the managerial seat at Manchester United for the next season or if he will be replaced by Gareth Southgate, who is Sir Jim's favorite. However, Sir Ratcliffe himself aims to implement significant changes within the team.

According to reports from The Telegraph, Manchester United is planning to change the position title from "manager" to "head coach."
