The IBF has set a deadline for Dubois and Joshua rematch
The IBF has set a deadline for Daniel Dubois to conduct a voluntary title defense.
Details: Dubois has the option to select any opponent from the federation's top 15 rankings and face him in the ring by April 22. Among the most likely candidates is his former opponent, Anthony Joshua, who currently ranks eighth.
After April 22, Daniel will be required to make a mandatory title defense, likely against the winner of the IBF final eliminator between Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel.
Reminder: The first bout between Dubois and Joshua took place on September 21. AJ was considered the favorite going into the fight but was punished by his opponent. He found himself on the canvas multiple times before ultimately being knocked out in the fifth round.
Additionally, Turki Alalshikh recently announced the date for the Dubois and Joshua rematch.
