The head coach of the England national team commented on reaching the final

The England national team has become the second finalist of the 2024 European Championship. In the semifinals, they defeated the Netherlands 2-1.

Gareth Southgate, the manager of the Three Lions, commented on this victory. According to him, his team played very well despite the challenging match.

"We had to change our approach, especially in defense. We constantly had to adapt, and the players made very good decisions. The finish was particularly special for the team and was a reward for their dedication," he stated.

The coach added that the opportunity to celebrate reaching the final for the second time is something special, and the fans who accompanied the team were wonderful.

"To be able to create nights like this for them – and I think this has happened a few times over the past six years – means a lot. If I weren't in this position, I would be watching the match and celebrating just like them.

We are kindred spirits in many ways, but it is my responsibility to lead the team. To give them such an evening is special," said Southgate.

In the Euro 2024 final, Spain will face England. The match will take place on Sunday, July 14, at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
