The head coach of the NBA team Charlotte, Steve Clifford, will depart from his position at the conclusion of the current season, as reported by journalist Adrian Wojnarowski.

On Wednesday, April 3, the American specialist informed players and his assistants about this decision. Currently, Steve Clifford is working towards remaining within the club's structure and securing a position in the franchise's front office.

It's worth noting that on May 29, 2013, Clifford became the head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats. In his first season with the Bobcats, Clifford achieved a record of 43-39 and led the team to the playoffs for the first time since the 2009/10 season, where they lost to the Miami Heat in the first round with a score of 0-4. On April 13, 2018, Clifford was relieved of his duties as head coach.

On May 30, 2018, Clifford became the head coach of the Orlando Magic, where he had previously worked as an assistant coach for several years. However, in 2022, he returned to the Charlotte Bobcats.

It's also worth mentioning that in the near future, a basketball team from Dubai may emerge in European basketball. According to press reports, it may even become a participant in the EuroLeague. However, for this Dubai club to participate, it needs to reach an agreement with one of the European national leagues regarding its involvement.
