The head coach of Germany elucidated the unusual positioning of Havertz

Germany head coach, Julian Nagelsmann, explained why Kai Havertz came out as a left-back, reports Sky Sports Germany.
According to the manager, Kai Havertz expressed a desire to experiment with playing in this position.
"I perceive this not as a risk for him but rather as a tremendous opportunity to play a pivotal role in the Euros. In his inaugural appearance in an unfamiliar position, he performed exceptionally well and arguably emerged as our standout player," stated Nagelsmann.
During the international break, while the national teams of other European countries vie for qualification to Euro 2024, the German national team engages in friendly matches.
Within the first five minutes of the match, Kai Havertz, operating from the left fullback position, opened the scoring after a delivery from Leroy Sane. However, prior to the conclusion of the first half, the Germans conceded two goals. Despite leveling the score with a goal from Niklas Fullkrug following a pass from Florian Wirtz, they were unable to maintain it and conceded the decisive third goal in the 70th minute.
