Bayern Munich has announced that the head coach of the team, Thomas Tuchel, will depart after this season.

As reported by The Telegraph, the top priority for the German specialist is to return to England and work in the Premier League. Tuchel is aware that from next season, there will be a vacancy at Liverpool, which will compete with Bayern for the coach of Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso. There is also speculation about a possible appointment at Manchester United if the new owner dismisses Erik ten Hag, as well as working with the England national team after Euro 2024.

Furthermore, the German specialist was interested in leading the team instead of Gareth Southgate after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It is expected that the local football association will now consider foreign coaches. Sources add that Tuchel has a very good reputation despite his failure at Bayern Munich.

It is worth recalling that Tuchel officially took charge of Chelsea, signing an 18-month contract with the option to extend for another year, on January 26, 2021. However, in the autumn of 2022, he left Chelsea after achieving 60 wins, 24 draws, and 16 losses in 100 matches with a win percentage of 60%, which ranks fourth among Chelsea managers who have coached at least 100 matches.
