The Guinea national team arrives in South Africa for its match against Bafana Bafana

The Syli National’s training camp for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers officially began in South Africa on Sunday 20 September.

A first group of six players joined the camp on Sunday. Serhou Guirassy, Seckou Oumar Sylla, Seydouba Cissé, Mohamed Richard Camara, Aguibou Camara and Mory Keïta arrived in South Africa to begin preparations.

Four further Guinean internationals joined the camp on Monday 21 September. Mory Konaté, Abdoul Karim Traoré, Ousmane Diabaté and Ibrahima Diakité brought the number of players already in South Africa to ten. Paulo Duarte’s squad will gradually be completed by eight further players expected to arrive in Johannesburg on Monday evening.

The Guinea national team will begin their qualifying campaign on 26 September against South Africa. The Guineans will then face Kenya on 1 October for the second match of the qualifiers.
