Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has shared his plans for the team's future offseason.

In an interview with 95.7 The Game, the strategist expressed his belief that it is currently not sensible to maintain an extensive payroll in the team. At some point, spending such a large amount of money on a team that hasn't made it to the playoffs is not justifiable.

"We have a lot of decisions to make and a lot of questions to answer. The only questions that really exist are about what comes next. Not only this year, but in the years to come. What does this mean for our team? What will the transition be like?

Can we take any steps to put ourselves in the conversation for championship contention? And if not, what does that mean? Are we relying on our young guys? These are all discussions we will have this summer," stated Steve Kerr.

It's worth noting that Golden State lost to Sacramento in the play-in game and will not participate in the playoffs this year. Additionally, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has reached an agreement to extend his contract with the team. The new contract is for two years and amounts to $35 million, making him the highest-paid coach in NBA history.
