The goalkeeper of Napoli may move to another Italian club
Napoli's goalkeeper, Alex Meret, might change clubs at the end of the season. TMW reports this citing SportMediaset.
According to the source, the 26-year-old Italian's contract will expire next summer, and his agents are already scouting for a new club for the goalkeeper.
It is noted that Meret's candidacy has been proposed to Inter, making him a viable alternative to Jan Sommer. Moreover, as no transfer fee would be required due to the goalkeeper attaining free-agent status at the season's end, Meret could negotiate with other teams this winter and enter into preliminary agreements.
A reminder that Meret has been playing for Napoli since July 2018, following his transfer from Udinese. During this period, he has featured in 154 matches (keeping 52 clean sheets) and conceded 169 goals.
Incidentally, Transfermarkt values him at 18 million euros.
It is worth noting that Napoli will play with Inter today in the match of the next round of the Italian Serie A.
