Earlier, honorary president of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, stated that the club no longer plans to purchase players this summer. He did mention that this could change if two or three players are sold. Despite no departures from the team thus far, Bayern continues to show interest in one player.

The player in question is Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah. Bayern previously made an offer to Bayer Leverkusen for the player, amounting to €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses, but the German champions rejected it. However, considering Tah's contract expires next year, Bayer Leverkusen is willing to lower the asking price to avoid losing him for free next summer. It was previously reported that Bayer Leverkusen hoped to receive €35-40 million for the player.

The price reduction is also influenced by Tah himself expressing his desire to join Bayern Munich. According to Florian Plettenberg, Leverkusen is ready to resume negotiations with Bayern, with the asking price now around €30 million (€25 million for the transfer and €5 million in bonuses). This amount is higher than Bayern's initial offer, so negotiations may become more active.

It is highly likely that Jonathan Tah will transfer to Bayern Munich this summer, with the only question remaining being the price of the player's contract.
