The leader of Brighton, Kaoru Mitoma, has sustained a significant injury, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

According to sources, the Japanese footballer has suffered a severe injury and is even at risk of being sidelined for the remainder of the current season. Brighton's head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, has also corroborated this information.

"This presents a significant challenge. He may be out for two to three months, with his season expected to be concluded," stated the Italian coach.

It's worth noting that Mitoma made his professional football debut in 2020 with Kawasaki Frontale. On August 10, 2021, Mitoma signed a four-year deal with English club Brighton, who immediately loaned him out for the season to Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise. Then, on October 20, 2023, he extended his contract with Brighton & Hove Albion until June 2027.

Additionally, Chelsea has expressed interest in Brighton's head coach, and if Pochettino is relieved of his duties, they may pursue Roberto De Zerbi.

Furthermore, Brighton owner Tony Bloom has declared ambitious plans for the future of his team. It has been revealed that he intends to conduct a robust summer transfer campaign and elevate the club to the highest echelons of European football.
