If Mauricio Pochettino does not improve Chelsea's situation in the near future, the club may decide to part ways with the Portuguese coach.

According to Nicolo Schira, if this happens, the London club is eyeing to lure Brighton's head coach, Roberto De Zerbi.

Pochettino's contract with Chelsea is valid until the summer of 2025. However, the club would be deeply disappointed if they fail to secure a place in European competitions by the end of the season. Currently, Chelsea trails four points behind the seventh position, which could grant entry to the Conference League.

Interestingly, in the previous season, Chelsea already recruited Brighton's head coach, Graham Potter, but dismissed him in April after a series of setbacks.

Under De Zerbi's guidance, Brighton qualified for European competitions for the first time in their history last season. In the current Premier League season, they hold the seventh position.

De Zerbi is also reportedly drawing interest from Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.
