The forward of Marseille, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, scored against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 second leg match.

This goal marked the Gabonese forward's 31st in the second most prestigious club tournament in Europe. Therefore, the experienced striker has surpassed Radamel Falcao, who had 30 goals to his name, and has become the top scorer in the history of the tournament.

In the current season, the Gabonese forward has tallied 16 goals and seven assists in 31 matches across all competitions.

Prior to his move to Marseille, the 34-year-old Aubameyang had played for several clubs in Europe, notably Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona.
