The forward from Atlético may soon become a teammate of Benzema

Saudi club Al-Ittihad is keen on having Atlético forward Angel Correa in its ranks. The information comes from the renowned football insider Fabrizio Romano, who suggests that the Saudi club will soon make an offer to Atlético for the acquisition of the Argentine player.

The 28-year-old forward has been with the Madrid-based team since 2015 when Atlético paid €10.5 million for his transfer. In the current season, the Argentine has played in 23 matches across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing one assist. Correa's contract with the club is set to run until June 2026.

Previously, it was reported that Atlético is considering four players from Girona to strengthen its squad.

Diego Simeone's team currently holds the fifth position in the La Liga standings. On January 18, Atlético will face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
