The former Nigeria coach reveals why he received for the team his last international loss.
The former coach of the Nigerian national team and the current coach of the Benin national team, Gernot Rohr, revealed several weaknesses that the Nigerian national team currently suffers from that they must avoid in the upcoming matches, pointing out that these reasons were a large part of their loss to Rwanda in their last match in the qualifiers.
Perhaps Rohr gave these opinions after his current team Benin met with the Nigerian team in a match that ended in a goal-to-goal draw and Benin gave a distinctive performance in which he stopped the Nigerian national team with its stars and forced him to end the match with a positive draw.
Rohr said: "Against Nigeria, we were pegged back by Osimhen a few minutes before the end. I know this team well from having coached them, They sometimes tend to take their foot off the gas when they think they have qualified. This can give their opponents the opportunity to spring a surprise, as was the case with Rwanda"
