Chelsea hosted Aston Villa in a Matchday 18 Premier League fixture and suffered a 1–2 defeat at home. However, the loss is not the only problem for the London club.

Details: It has emerged that the Football Association has charged Chelsea with failing to control their players and staff. The charges relate to conduct following the match against Aston Villa, which took place on December 27.

It is reported that Chelsea representatives behaved in an improper and provocative manner. The London club now has until January 12 to respond to the charges.

Notably, since the start of the 2023/24 season, Chelsea have received 251 yellow cards and 12 red cards. This is the highest tally among all Premier League teams during this period.

Reminder: At the beginning of 2026, Chelsea changed their head coach, with the club now led by 41-year-old Liam Rosenior, who has shared his expectations and ideas regarding the role.
