Yesterday in Paris, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games took place. Although the competitions started earlier, the first set of medals was awarded today.
In the final of the 10-meter air rifle mixed team event, China's Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao faced off against South Korea's Kom Ji-hyun and Park Ha-jun. The Chinese team emerged victorious with a score of 16-12.
Thus, the first gold medals of the Paris Olympics were claimed by China. The silver went to South Korea. Kazakhstan rounded out the top three, surpassing Germany in the fight for the bronze medal.
