The 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony in Paris is unique as it is held not in a stadium, for the first time. The Olympic flame completed its three-month journey across France and appeared at the opening ceremony.
Instead of the usual stadium setting, athletes are parading along the picturesque Seine River, with each country given its own boat. Athletes will cover a distance of six kilometers, finishing at Trocadéro.
At the grand event, American singer Lady Gaga has already performed. Fans greeted the pop star with enthusiastic applause.
In addition to the 10,500 athletes, it is noted that approximately 600,000 people are present on the streets of Paris, despite the heavy rain.
