The finalists of the Olympic men's football tournament have been determined
Today, the semifinal matches of the football tournament at the 2024 Olympics took place.
In the first game, held in Marseille, the national teams of Morocco and Spain faced off. Towards the end of the first half, Sofiane Rahimi scored from a penalty, giving Morocco the lead and igniting hope among their fans.
However, after the break, Spain intensified their attacks and turned the game around. In the 66th minute, Barcelona midfielder Fermín López equalized the score, and in the 85th minute, Sevilla's right-back Juanlu Sánchez secured the victory for Santi Denia's team.
In the second semifinal, the nominal favorites also had to come from behind. France dominated the match against Egypt, but in the 62nd minute, they conceded a counterattack that allowed Mahmoud Saber to open the scoring.

The hero for the Olympic hosts was Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, who scored a brace. He equalized in the 83rd minute and then put France ahead in extra time, in the 99th minute. Bayern Munich's newcomer Michael Olise sealed the match in the 108th minute.
The final between France and Spain will take place on Friday, August 9. Egypt and Morocco will compete for the bronze medals on Thursday, August 8.
