Manchester City wants their primary goalkeeper, Ederson, to remain with the team for several more years. The club has confidence in him and sees no reason to sign a new goalkeeper in the foreseeable future.

According to Graeme Bailey, Manchester City aims for Ederson to sign a new contract before the start of the next season. His current agreement with the club is set to expire in the summer of 2025.

Ederson joined Manchester City from Benfica in the summer of 2017 for €40 million. Since then, he has been the team's first-choice goalkeeper, featuring in 321 matches.

In the current season, Ederson has played 32 matches, keeping a clean sheet in 11 of them.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper also has 25 appearances for the Brazilian national team. Due to Alisson's injury, it is expected that Ederson will be the main goalkeeper in the friendly matches against England and Spain in March.
