The end of the fairy tale era! Leicester officially put up for sale
Leicester City has been put up for sale: the Thai owners from King Power are ready to part ways with the club for a sum exceeding £200 million.
Details: According to the BBC, the Srivaddhanaprabha family, who have owned the Foxes since 2010, have prepared an eight-page presentation for investors with investment bank Citigroup, dubbed Project Lineup. The sale package includes the King Power Stadium, the £100 million Seagrave training complex, the women's team, and Belgian affiliate club OH Leuven. The entire lineup is valued at around $300 million, though the final deal could close for significantly less.

The ownership journey has been nothing short of sensational: Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha bought the club from Milan Mandarić in 2010 for just £39 million, and in 2016 Leicester pulled off the greatest shock in Premier League history, clinching the title at 5000-1 odds. The Foxes later lifted the FA Cup and joined the elite group of just five English clubs to have won all three major domestic trophies since 2000.
But recent years have turned into a nightmare: the club has posted losses totaling hundreds of millions of pounds and suffered relegation to League One after finishing second-to-last in the Championship. The legendary era, which began as a fairy tale and was tragically cut short by Vichai's death in 2018, has officially come to an end.
