Details: Today, on his social media page X, 36-year-old Sevilla and Spain national team center-back César Azpilicueta announced he will retire from football at the end of the season.

Azpilicueta thanked his fans for years of unwavering support, and also expressed his gratitude to teammates and coaches he has worked with throughout his distinguished career.
This season, Azpilicueta made 16 appearances for Sevilla, providing one assist.
Over the course of his career, Azpilicueta played for clubs such as Osasuna, Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, and Olympique Marseille, but rose to true prominence at Chelsea. There, the Spaniard served as captain and racked up 508 appearances for the Blues, winning two Europa League titles, the Premier League, as well as lifting the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup trophies.
