This time, the stumbling block reportedly came from some investors who paused negotiations at the last moment. Their change of heart came after the selling shareholders altered terms that had previously been agreed upon.
As a result, Sergio Ramos hasn’t given up hope of becoming Sevilla’s owner, but it appears he’ll have to wait a little longer to see it through.
Sevilla is the club where Ramos grew up as a player, rising through every level of the youth academy before making his top-flight debut there in 2002. In 2005, Ramos left Sevilla for Real Madrid, but returned for one season in 2024 before departing again as a free agent.
