The DR Congo team holds its first training session in Houston
Sébastien Desabre’s squad continues to fine-tune its strategy ahead of its first match against Portugal.
The Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo have been in the United States since Friday 12 June for the World Cup. After arriving on American soil, the Congolese wasted no time in getting down to work.
Chancel Mbemba and his teammates held their first training session in Houston, where their base camp is located. The Leopards will continue to train to make their final adjustments before facing Portugal on 17 June in their first match of the group stage of the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Leopards’ second match in Group K will be against Colombia on 24 June, whilst the DR Congo’s third and final group stage match will be against Uzbekistan on 28 June.
