The DR Congo team flies to the United States
The Leopards will land in Houston, Texas, where their base camp for the World Cup is located.
The Democratic Republic of Congo set off for America on Thursday for the tournament jointly organised by the United States, Canada and Mexico. With the World Cup officially kicking off on 11 June, Sébastien Desabre’s team is expected in Houston.
It is in Texas that the DRC will set up camp ahead of their opening match on 17 June against Portugal in Group K. The Leopards will then face Colombia on 24 June before concluding the group stage against Uzbekistan on 28 June.
The Democratic Republic of Congo returns to the World Cup after a 52-year absence. But Sébastien Desabre’s squad arrives in America with the ambition of making history on the world stage.
