The DR Congo squad for the 2026 World Cup will be announced on 18 May

Some new faces are expected to feature in Sébastien Desabre’s squad.
The Democratic Republic of Congo is gearing up for the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer. Like the other qualified nations, the Congolese squad will reveal the players who will represent the country.
This announcement is scheduled for Monday 18 May. Jorthy Mokio, who recently opted to play for the Leopards, is expected to be called up, according to sources. Aside from Mokio, Desabre’s squad is also expected to include new players.
The Democratic Republic of Congo will face Portugal, Colombia and Uzbekistan in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
