The Democratic Republic of Congo is now on American soil. After a training camp in Liège, Belgium, and a few days in Malaga, Spain, the DR Congo national team flew to America on 11 June. The Congolese squad landed on Friday, whilst the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico officially kicked off on Thursday 11 June with the match between South Africa and Mexico.

Now on American soil, the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are awaiting their opening match against Portugal on 17 June. The DR Congo will then face Colombia on 24 June and Uzbekistan on 28 June.

It is worth noting that the DR Congo is returning to the FIFA World Cup after a 52-year absence.
