Bayern Munich midfielder Alexandar Pavlovic has left the German national team camp due to illness.

According to Bild, Pavlovic has been diagnosed with tonsillitis. Currently, the footballer is recovering at home. His aim now is to fully recover in time for the match against Borussia Dortmund, scheduled for March 30.

It's worth noting that the midfielder has had occasional tonsil issues, and in the fall of 2023, he had already suffered from two bouts of tonsillitis. He was sidelined for about a month, missing 7 games due to these problems.

Pavlovic was named Bayern's best player for two consecutive months. In the current season, the 19-year-old midfielder has played 18 matches for the Bavarians, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist.

This was Pavlovic's debut call-up for the German national team. The German team is set to play two friendly matches against France on March 23 and the Netherlands on March 26.

Earlier, we explained why Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka was not called up to the national team.
