The fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion will take place on 17 February, ESPN journalist Mike Coppinger has reported.

On his page on social networking site X (formerly Twitter), he confirmed that the fight between the two champions will take place on this date. By the way, International Boxing News reported that the boxers have already signed a contract. The fight will take place in Riyadh. The official announcement of the fight is expected this week.

It should also be recalled that it was originally planned that the fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion would take place on 23 December.

In addition, journalist Mike Coppinger said that Anthony Joshua will meet Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder will fight Joseph Parker on 23 December in Riyadh. Also on this evening, Daniel Dubois will meet Jarrell Miller and Frank Sanchez will fight Junior Fa.

As a reminder, former world middleweight champion George Groves continues to insist that the Fury-Usyk fight will not take place through the fault of the British.

On 28 October, a 10-round fight between Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou took place in Saudi Arabia. Fury won a hard-fought points victory by split decision (95-94 Ngannou, 96-93 Fury, 95-94 Fury).
