IBF cruiserweight world champion Jai Opetaia has expressed his desire to fight the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksander Usyk.

"I would like to fight Usyk; I've been watching him for a long time. I was 17 when he won gold at the London Olympics in 2012.

I've always been in the shadows, very close, and now I'm coming into my prime. I'm no longer a little kid. Now everyone knows that. I'm on their radar. It feels good. Usyk has always been at the top, always the best, so I would love to fight him," said Opetaia.

This fight might intrigue Oleksander, as he recently mentioned the possibility of returning to cruiserweight. Oleksander is considering this option to attempt to become the undisputed cruiserweight champion for the second time.
