The cricket star David Warner is planning an epic helicopter flight directly from his brother's wedding to make it in time for the Big Bash League match. His opponent in this cricket tournament in Australia will be another significant figure in the cricket world, Steve Smith.

Warner is going to great lengths to ensure his showdown against Smith takes place, even though on the day of the match, he plans to attend his brother's wedding in Hunter Valley, which is 250 km away from Sydney, where the epic clash will happen.

Reportedly, Warner has rented multiple private helicopters on standby to transport him for the Friday face-off.

"I've got a couple of aircraft booked pending weather. I can't remember how long the reception or the wedding party [goes for] … it's a fine line", Warner said.

Warner's current contract with the Thunder expires at the end of this season, but he is keen to play on for the BBL franchise. Smith blasted 346 runs at a strike rate of 175 in a five-match BBL stint last season.
