India has left the top of the World Test Championship. Who is the leader now? India has left the top of the World Test Championship. Who is the leader now?

There has been a change in the cricket world rankings after the World Test Championship standings 2023-2025 that ended in early January.

It is worth recalling that Australia and India shared the top position with a ranking of 118 each until recently, but India was leading on points.

At the juncture of 2023 and 2024, both the teams played their Test matches. India drew 1-1 with South Africa in two games, while Australia beat Pakistan three times.

This was enough for Australia to move to the top spot, while India remains in second place. South Africa, New Zealand and Bangladesh share the third position.

Thus, India's dominance in all three formats of cricket has come to an end. It may be recalled that since September last year, India became only the second team in the history of men's cricket to top the rankings in all three formats.

Earlier, we reported that the former captain of the Nepal national team has been convicted of rape.

It may also be recalled that legendary Australian player David Warner ended his ODI cricket career in the matches against Pakistan. The former Australian captain won two World Cups, a T20 and a World Test Championship during his career.
