Football fans around the world are looking forward to the first-ever expanded Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from June to July 2025. For the first time in the tournament's history, 32 teams will compete.

Until 2023, the tournament featured only seven teams, beginning with a preliminary round and culminating in a final four. However, the upcoming edition will see 12 clubs from Europe, 6 from South America, 4 from Asia, 4 from Africa, 5 from North America, and 1 from Oceania, with the teams divided into eight groups, followed by knockout rounds.

This expanded version will include five Arab teams: Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia, Al Ahly from Egypt, Al Ain from the UAE, Tunisian side Esperance, and Morocco's Wydad. The draw will take place on Thursday, December 5, in Miami, USA.

Brazil is leading with four clubs—Botafogo, Palmeiras, Flamengo, and Fluminense—making it the country with the most teams in the tournament. Botafogo got their spot by winning the Copa Libertadores for the first time ever, beating Atlético Mineiro 3-1 in the final.

Two years ago, the tournament gained a new level of interest when it was revealed that the number of participants will be increased from seven to thirty-two. The December draw, which will decide the groups for what is sure to be an exciting event for football fans worldwide, is the focus of attention as the tournament draws near.
