In a video shared on social media, they celebrated the young Senegalese player’s big debut.

Bara Sapoko Ndiaye played his first Bundesliga match for Bayern Munich on Saturday 11 April. He came on as a substitute in the 84th minute against St Pauli on matchday 29 of the German league. A major event that did not go unnoticed in The Gambia.

At the Gambino Stars Africa Academy, the academy from which Bara Sapoko Ndiaye hails, there was jubilation all round. The children at the training centre celebrated the occasion when the 18-year-old Senegalese stepped onto the pitch at the Millerntor Stadium.
